Kesa Ahomana, MSW, joined Women for a Healthy Environment in September 2024, bringing a strong history of providing holistic, equity-based services across various nonprofit sectors. She earned her master’s degree in Community Organizing and Social Administration from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, along with a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Recently, Kesa graduated as a member of the Forbes Funds’ 2023 Emerging Development Leadership cohort.
With experience at organizations like the Homeless Children’s Education Fund, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, and Crisis Center North, Kesa’s background in both development and direct service supports WHE’s community-centered approach to environmental justice. Her focus on the health and well-being of women, children, and youth makes her uniquely qualified to advance WHE’s mission while connecting with community members with empathy and understanding.
In her spare time, Kesa enjoys long hikes, cozy books, and exploring new restaurants in Pittsburgh.
