Education is integral to our programming. From translating research into action, to incorporating science communication and data literacy skills, we believe education can empower stakeholders to take action and advocate for healthy schools.
Healthy Schools Pennsylvania, an initiative by Women for a Healthy Environment, acknowledges schools working towards a Green and Healthy learning atmosphere. We are proud to offer a science-based curriculum for a variety of environmental health topics including School Building as a Tool for Learning, Environmental Health: Nutrition and Chemical Exposures, and Environmental Sustainability.
Explore our online courses which serve as a resource for students to explore the elements that contribute to a Healthy School. Courses cover a range of topics including air quality, energy efficiency, health and wellness, transportation methods, consumption and waste management, water conservation, and more, all within the context of their school surroundings.
Professional development is available for free to school professionals including facilities staff, educators and administrators on a variety of environmental health topics.
