Dr. Britnee Weatherspoon is a Prevention and Education Manager at UW Medicine – Harborview Medical Center, a Professor at Cambridge College/Bay Path University and an Educational Consultant. Dr. Weatherspoon has over ten years of experience working in public health, health promotion, community health, school health, and education.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in the Public Health program. Her master’s degree in Educational Studies was completed at Duquesne University. Her doctoral degree was completed at University of Pittsburgh in the Doctor of Education program with a concentration in Health and Physical Activity.
Dr. Weatherspoon’s passion and experience align with incorporating the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) framework to improve school health policies and practices. Dr. Weatherspoon is extremely passionate about creating healthier school and community environments for underserved populations, ensuring that young people can reach their full potential. Dr. Weatherspoon formerly served as an Advisory Board Member for Healthy Schools PA and she looks forward to making a greater contribution serving as a board member.
