Patricia’s yard changed—and so did daily life for children
Patricia runs Peace Love & Learning in Mt. Washington. It’s her early learning program—and her home. When she joined WHE’s 1000 Hours a Year Program, she wanted to be proactive about hazards like lead and radon.
She noticed bare spots where grass wouldn’t grow. Testing revealed dangerously high levels of lead in the soil where children played. With WHE’s support, contaminated soil was removed and replaced—turning that space into a place children return to every day with joy.

Yes, donations to Women for a Healthy Environment are 100% tax-deductible as allowed by law. Women for a Healthy Environment is a U.S. tax exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service Act Section 501(c)(3). Our tax ID number is 47-265155.
89% of every dollar donated goes directly to programs that make homes, schools and communities healthier.
You can view and manage your giving plans and see your past donation transactions by signing in to your donor account or profile. Once you log in, you will be able to access your upcoming recurring plan details and your full donation history from your profile or account dashboard.
This includes updating payment information, changing donation amounts or frequencies where available, and reviewing the dates and amounts of gifts you have already made. This gives you full visibility into your monthly giving and helps you stay connected to your support history.

A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on the donation form. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each month when your donation is processed.
